the start of Winter in Nebraska

It feels like the first of October, yesterday Josh was wearing his flip-flops while we walked. Elijah did not need a coat, and I marveled at the sight of Christmas lights and no snow on the trees around us. We are loving our new family and home here in Papillion.

Elijahs Grandma took he and i to Florida this past week. As his toes touched the cold ocean water, he looked up at me and smiled! He loves the ocean and the warm warm weather.... thats my boy!! after a few too many pictures he got his pout lip out. Thanks grandma for a great trip!! We are now back at home.... I am wondering how long it will be until he starts sleeping for more than 4 hours at a time... and taking longer then 30 minute naps.... tired is a state of being for mommy!

OCTOBER 17th 2009

Well... its been a crazy few months! We have our sweet little baby boy Elijah James Keller. He was born weighing 9 lbs and 11 oz, and standing (or laying) 20 3/4 inches.

Currently he is weighing in at 15 and 1/2 pounds and standing (laying) 25 inches tall! Our big angel is in the 97% for his age.

We bought a home in Papillion Nebraska- where Josh got his new job at Shadow Lake Community Church.

Fall is in full bloom and the weather is perfect here. We do miss being close to our family and close friends... but Omaha is only a few minutes from our house... and its a great place to visit!!!!!!

Driving Driving Driving- 6 weeks to go!!

Well the past month has been crazy at the Kellers!

Josh and I drove to Papillian (Omaha) for an interview- that went very well i will add :) -

Then off to see Josh's brother and his sweet family in Kansas city. We had lots of fun and even went to a Royals Game... They won!!!

Back on the road after that to Staples for my little sisters Graduation from HighSchool.

We got to Fargo for 2 days to see our puppy and get the baby in for his/her appointment. Our midwife said.. "this is no 6 pounder" ..... so we are thinking our little one is going to be a big baby. A natural birth is still in the birth plan!!!! AHHHHHHH I have had lots of heartburn these past weeks so we are also thinking an afro is in order!! hahaah

Today we are back in Papillian Nebraska trusting God to show us if this is the church and city he wants us to invest our lives in.

26 weeks & disney world here we come!!

We are wonderful! If you have not heard Josh lost his job due to budget cuts at the church. We are in complete peace knowing how good our God is. As we wait on him for direction- resumes have been sent out all over the country :) We are in dream mode thinking of all the possibilities!
Mama has been feeling great and baby has been kicking so much!!!!
We had our half way appointment and had the sex of the baby written on piece of paper and put in an envelope. As josh walked to his car i held the envelope up to the sun.... i could not see a thing!! so i had to run it to a shredder ASAP or i knew i would look.(thanks penny for your support.... and trying to piece the shreds together ;0 ) We want to be surprised in July, so for the next few months we are dreaming of our little firecracker in green :)

Grandpa (dad) Landecker retired a few moths ago so he is taking the family to Disney World on Wednesday! We are so excited to get out of the flood land and head to the sunny beaches!!

Much love to you all!!

ps I have pictures to post but need to transfer them.... :)

Greetings! Today marks week 19 for our little one. I (rachel) am feeling great! I took a tumble down our new back stairs this past sunday... it was a bit of a wake up call for me. SLOW DOWN! I am ok and so si the little babe, we went in and had some tests done just to be sure. I were able to move all of our stuff from our cute one bedroom apartment into a new 3 bedroom..... so lots of room for us, baby, jazzy, and you!! We are excited to have a tub! its all about the small joys in life! Next week we are half way there and some belly pictures are long due... so stay tuned!!

Week 16.5

We had our appointment today and Christa (our midwife) said everything was looking GREAT!! The little babies heartbeat was nice and slow..... a boy??..... We have our mid way appointment on March 3- the baby will be more than half way along by then.... Time is flying! We cant believe in a few short months we will be holding our own child!!!

So for now we are searching for a new apartment, trying to figure out birthing methods, and buying diapers :) so it wont break us later.

Blessings to you all! Josh, Rachel and baby

ps we have the cutes little dog- Jazzington, he thinks all the baby stuff is for him.... it will be a wake up call in July!!

goodbye sub-zero siberian temperatures

Hello above zero! We are so excited for you to come! The VW passat will no longer have to be jumped! As I visited with my friend Scott (who lives in North Atlanta, GA) today, he asked me why I live in this part of the country... my first reason was "God"... He called us here... the second would be family... we love our family and the majority of them live up in this area... the third reason is this... though its cold, you can dress as warm as you need to for it. Sure, it gets hot here periodically during the summer, but nothin' like my friend in Georgia. I told him in comparison to how cold the winters are up here, the south brings forth a hellish-like summer that you can't dress down for in any way... the most you can dress down would be gettin' naked, but you can get arrested for that...

So for now, we greet you temperatures in the 20's with joy... and love... and thank our Creator that His provision is perfect in giving us a warm apartment, a humidifier to make it less dry, and one car that could start in the north pole if need be!

If you read this, pray for energy for my preggo wife who is working all weekend, packing boxes for her clients that are moving. Love y'all... UBUNTU
